The steps

- Find the nearest branch through Google Maps.
- Compare it with the list of participating branches. If the terms say all branches are included, still match the branch you plan to visit.
- Inform the staff before the service or before payment that you will be using your Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card.
- At payment, check that the discount is written on the receipt.
It only takes a few extra minutes, but it can save you time and avoid confusion at the branch. Here is how I did it at David's Salon.
1. I searched for a partner on chico.ph
I started on chico.ph and chose the beauty category. That is where I found David's Salon.

2. I scrolled down to the terms and conditions
The terms and conditions are usually shown at the last part, so I scrolled all the way down.
The terms I read before the visit.
This is the section I paid the most attention to. For David's Salon, four points were listed:
- The discount is exclusive to Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card and Loyalty Card Plus holders.
- The cardholder has to present the card to get the discount.
- The discount cannot be combined with another promo or discount.
- It can be used in all David's Salon branches nationwide until June 29, 2033.
3. I checked the discount validity
Before doing anything else, I checked whether the discount was still active.
On this offer, the card and the terms both listed June 29, 2033. That date was still ahead, so the discount was active when I went.
If a validity date is listed, I make sure the offer is still within that period. If there is no validity date mentioned, I usually take that to mean there is no stated expiration. If I want to double-check, I contact the discount partner through their official channels, like email or their official Facebook page.
4. I looked for the closest branch
The terms said every David's Salon branch nationwide was included. I still looked up the branch closest to me and found it on the participating list.
I used Google Maps, then matched that branch to the list. I went to SM Makati: 4th floor, SM Makati Dept. Store, Ayala Center, Makati City. It is number 69 on the list.

5. I informed the reception before my haircut
When I arrived at the branch, I informed the reception right away that I would be using my Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card.
I think this step matters because it sets expectations early. Instead of bringing it up only when it was time to pay, I mentioned it before the service started. The terms also say the card has to be presented to get the discount.
6. They borrowed my card while I got my haircut
After I informed the reception, they borrowed my card. Then I proceeded with my haircut as usual. If you are using a Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus linked to UnionBank or AUB, you may also want to cover the CVV with a security sticker and keep the number saved somewhere secure. The staff returned my card after payment together with my receipt.
7. I paid the discounted price after the service
After my haircut, I paid ₱505. That was the total amount due after the 10% discount. The cashier wrote -10% on the sales invoice. The invoice is from the 4th floor of the SM Makati building, Ayala Center.
